Terms
Terms of 1 October 2026
What may not be sent
In a Moot you may not send anything that is bullying, hateful or hurtful; anything sexual; anything that puts a child at risk; anything violent or threatening; spam or a scam; or anything against the law. Don’t send what isn’t yours to share, and don’t pretend to be someone else. These are the same reasons the app offers when someone reports something, so every report points at a rule everyone here agreed to.
Reporting, and what we keep
Anyone in a Moot can report what someone sent there. A report goes to Mootzer, never to the person who started the Moot, and the person reported is not told who reported them. We keep the report and a copy of what was reported, even after the Moot itself is deleted, until we have decided what to do and for six months after; then we delete both. That is the one exception to deleting a Moot’s content when it ends.
Blocking
You can block anyone you share a Moot with. A block is one-way and silent: what they send is folded away on your phones, nothing they send will notify you, and they are not told. We keep only that you blocked them, until you unblock them or either of you deletes your account.
What we may do
When something breaks these terms, we may remove what was sent, and we may restrict or close the account that sent it. If we act on something you sent, we tell you what we did and why, and you can ask us to look at it again by writing to the address below.
When a Moot ends
A Moot’s content is read-only for a week after the Moot ends, and then we delete our copy. Anyone can keep what they saved to their own phone; what they keep is theirs.
Who may use Mootzer
You must be 13 or older to use Mootzer. Your account is yours alone: an email address and a password, and your first and last name. Mootzer never asks for your phone number or your address book. Mootzer is made by Alithix LLC, and these terms are between you and Alithix LLC.

Questions about these terms, or about something we did under them, go to info@mootzer.com. If these terms change, the app asks you to agree to the new ones before you next send anything, and this page shows the date of the terms in force.
